    Rich, lush theme-laden cinematography, nuanced characterizations, sets, costumes, scenes, and hot but not graphic sexuality, characterize this film that deals with the nature of truth and reality, subjectivity/objectivity and the underground currents of the heart. I haven't read the book, so can't compare, but the film is a must-see. I especially loved its treatment of the craziness of war.

jarngerd moves along

Back_start This is the start of the back of Jarngerd.  I've been busy trying to clean up my hard-drive and haven't been knitting much, so I was surprised at how quickly I was able to crank out this much of the back.

Below you can see the two fronts of Jarngerd, with their extended 'back yokes.'  The back seems awfully wide compared with the front, but I'm knitting on in faith.  Perhaps foolishly.

It does seem a bit huge in comparison, but maybe it's supposed to drape that way? The fronts sure are beautiful.
