Well, it's finally finished, and the weather is perfect for wearing my new light-weight sweater. It's just the right level of warmth for the kind of weather we have around here a lot. It's not really cold, but it's not quite warm either. A light-weight or mid-weight sweater is just right. Now I only wish I had a couple more. I'll have to make myself some more cardigans, (not jarngerds, one is enough), so I have choices.
Complaints? One. The shoulders of the sweater tend to slide down, making the v-neck opening wider and wider. It could look kind of sexy, but it actually feels kind of annoying, and also does nothing for keeping my neck and upper back warm. No matter how I arrange it, my upper back is exposed. The cable looks good going across the upper back, however, so I guess that's the perk. i particularly like the sleeves and the cuffs.
I actually finished the sweater two weeks ago, sewed up, buttoned, etc., but then I came down with the flu. I haven't had even a cold for over two years, so it kind of floored me to be down for the count for the better part of two weeks. I've been working on the leaf-and-acorn edging for the baby georgia blanket, and also have gotten back to my jaeger 'nevada' cardigan - both of these projects are really fun to knit.
Bela is looking like quite the buddhist master in this shot, wouldn't you agree?

Yay! Congratulations on finishing the sweater - it looks great! Well, you'll just have to wear it with a "sticky" shirt underneath - maybe chenille or something so it won't slide. Tell Bela that Cheddar says "Om".

It's so pretty! The cable is gorgeous. Too bad it's a bit big in the shoulders, but at least you'll be able to wear it over anything.
Bela looks quite masterful in that pic.

Hi Alice,
I visited your site and tried to post a comment, but couldn't. I love your blog's title: Knitting Moonsilver! Yes, I love that feeling! Also, so sorry to hear about your kittens.
Thanks for your comment - I'm enjoying wearing jarngerd almost everyday. Karen
